AN 11.15mm (WERNDL) BREECH-LOADING SERVICE RIFLE, MODEL 'M.1867', serial no. 524,
circa 1871, with sighted 33in. barrel signed 'WERNDL' on the nocksform, rotary breech, plain back-action lockplate marked with the number '868', walnut three-quarter stock with iron furniture, the heel-plate spur with regimental marking '58L.ST.B' over '524' and iron under-barrel clearing rod (stock worn with repair at wrist)
